About Apatinska pivara doo: Apatinska Brewery was founded in 1756 as the "Imperial Brewery" in Apatin. There are records of producing 12,000 hectoliters of beer in the 18th century.

 

The brewery was first privatized at the end of the 19th century, marking a new phase of development characterized by significant investment.

Until World War I, production reached 16,000 hl of beer annually. By 1950, production had increased to 40,782 hl of beer, with the number of employees rising to 120. During the 1970s, automated high-volume lines were introduced, resulting in the production of 634,681 hectoliters of beer in 1977. The product range expanded to include non-alcoholic beverages like orange, lemon, and blueberry in 1969, and later alpine herb drinks.

 

Apatinska Brewery Today:

Apatinska Brewery is one of the leaders in beer production in the domestic market. The company’s headquarters is in Apatin, with a commercial center in Belgrade and distribution centers in Odžaci, Inđija, Mladenovac, Novi Sad, Čačak, and Niš.

In 2012, Apatinska Brewery became a member of one of the largest global brewing companies, Molson Coors Brewing Company, which operates in Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, and the Far East, as well as in Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Montenegro, Romania, and Slovakia. Following its integration with MillerCoors in 2016, Molson Coors became the third-largest brewery in the world.

The annual operating capacity of Apatinska Brewery is four million hectoliters. Interestingly, the brewery produces 15,000 hectoliters of beer in a single day, which was the total annual production in the late 19th century. Apatinska Brewery currently employs over 750 people and is a supporter of numerous cultural, musical, and sporting events on both national and regional levels.
