Uganda National Bureau of Standards (UNBS)

The Uganda National Bureau of Standards (UNBS) is Uganda’s national standards organization, responsible for developing and promoting standards to ensure quality, safety, and interoperability across various sectors. Established in 1983, UNBS operates under the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Cooperatives. Its mission includes formulating national standards, conducting quality assurance, and promoting best practices to support industry, public welfare, and environmental sustainability in Uganda.

UNBS collaborates with both national and international organizations to align Ugandan standards with global best practices.
