The Office for Standards, Metrology and Testing of the Slovak Republic (Úrad pre normalizáciu, metrológiu a skúšobníctvo Slovenskej republiky, ÚNMS SR) is Slovakia's national standards body and the central government authority responsible for technical standardization, metrology, quality, conformity assessment, accreditation policy, and the free movement of goods. Established in 1993 following the creation of the independent Slovak Republic, it develops and implements national policy across these areas while helping ensure alignment with European and international requirements. The institution's current strategic framework, the State Policy Concept for 2025-2028, identifies these fields as important tools for supporting innovation, competitiveness, sustainable economic growth, international cooperation and the modernization of public administration. The office also promotes quality-management approaches and initiatives designed to improve the performance of both public and private-sector organizations.

ÚNMS SR serves as a bridge between government, industry, conformity assessment bodies, academic institutions and technical experts. Through technical committees, consultations and coordination mechanisms, it enables stakeholders to participate in the development of standards and technical regulations. The office also provides access to Slovak Technical Standards through its STN Online platform and supports the dissemination of technical and regulatory information to businesses, public authorities and other interested parties.
