Scope of activities:

- Assessment and certification of management systems: ISO 13485, testing of medical products according to MDD 93/42/EEC directive for obtaining the CE mark, ISO 22716, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 50001, ISO 45001/BS OHSAS 18001, HACCP system, IATF 16949, ISO/EC 27001, GRI, FSC CoC, NVO Model, KzBVIP Model, etc.
- Testing and certification of products: Testing of electrical product safety and electromagnetic compatibility. CE mark testing, production control, international certification. Tested devices can receive SIQ certification mark, SIQ checked, ENEC.
- Testing and certification of products according to the Machinery Safety Directive - 2006/42/EU and group of harmonized standards (EN).

- Assessment of interoperability factors and structural subsystem elements according to the Railway System Interoperability Directive within the Community - 2008/57/EU and group of harmonized standards (EN) within the following interoperable subsystems:

• Energy,
• Rail vehicles,
• Control, management, and signaling - trackside part, and
• Control, management, and signaling - onboard part.

SIQ is a notified body with identification number 1304 for the following European directives:

EMC - Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive (2014/30/EU),
MD - Machinery Directive (2006/42/EU),
MDD - General Medical Devices Directive (93/42/EEC as amended),
ATEX - Directive on equipment and protective systems intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres (2014/34/EU),
RTTE - Radio and Telecommunications Terminal Equipment Directive (1999/5/EC)*,
RED - Radio Equipment Directive (2014/53/EU),
Noise - Noise Directive (2000/14/EC),
MID - Measuring Instruments Directive (2014/32/EU),
CPR - Construction Products Regulation (305/2011)-,
RAIL - Railway Interoperability Directive within the Community (2008/57/EU).

After the transitional period, only the RED directive will be applicable.

- Metrology: Key services, calibration of measuring instruments, control of measuring instruments, calibration and control of measuring instruments for vehicle technical inspections, CE marking - Regulations on measuring instruments, knowledge transfer and projects, calibration and controls.
- Gambling technology: Key services, product testing for gambling technology, certification of gambling technology products, control of gambling technology products.
- Education: Key areas of education, quality, environment and energy, occupational health and safety, information security, food safety, laboratories, technical legislation, quality in education and upbringing, human resource management. Intensive training: Quality School, HACCP School and specialist certification, ISO/TS 16949 Quality School, Management School.

- International projects: Key areas, implementation of international projects, especially in the field of MSTQ (metrology, standardization, testing, and quality) and SMEs (small and medium-sized enterprises, EU new approach directives, CE marking).
