Korean Standards Association (KSA)

The Korean Standards Association (한국표준협회, KSA) is a public interest organization founded in 1962 to promote industrial standardization, quality management, and technological innovation in Korea. Since its establishment, KSA has supported national growth by implementing programs in standards development, quality management, certification, human resources training, and technological advancement. It operates under the oversight of the Korean Agency for Technology and Standards (KATS) and serves as a designated body responsible for KS certification, carrying out assessments, audits, and information services related to the Korean Industrial Standards (KS).
KSA cooperates internationally with numerous organizations, including the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), European Organization for Quality (EOQ), and other leading national and professional standardization bodies. Through these partnerships, it promotes Korea’s participation in global standardization and quality initiatives.
Beyond its core functions, KSA plays a pivotal role in industrial education and innovation. It operates platforms such as KSSN (Korean Standards Service Network) and KS나라 for KS certification and standard information, manages national quality campaigns, and collaborates with institutions like the Korea Academy of Technology and Entrepreneurship (KATE) to develop professional training programs.
