Standards Association of Zimbabwe (SAZ)


The Standards Association of Zimbabwe (SAZ) is Zimbabwe’s national standards organization, responsible for developing and promoting standards to ensure quality, safety, and interoperability across various sectors. Established in 1957, SAZ operates under the Ministry of Industry and Commerce. Its mission includes formulating national standards, coordinating with international bodies, and fostering the adoption of best practices to support industry, public welfare, and environmental sustainability in Zimbabwe.

SAZ collaborates closely with national and international organizations to align Zimbabwean standards with global best practices.
