Lithuanian Standards Board (LST)

The Lithuanian Standards Board (Lietuvos standartizacijos departamentas, LST) is the national standardization institution of Lithuania, established on April 25, 1990, by the Government of the Republic of Lithuania. It operates as a budgetary institution and is guided by the Regulation (EU) No 1025/2012 on European standardization and the national Standardization Law. LST develops and manages Lithuania’s national standardization system and ensures the country’s active role in international and European standardization.
LST is responsible for shaping and implementing state policy in standardization, working closely with stakeholders. It establishes technical committees to draft and revise Lithuanian standards, coordinates their activities, and oversees the collection, adoption, and distribution of both national and international standards. The institution also ensures copyright compliance, provides public information on standards, and notifies the European Commission of national technical regulations. In addition, LST represents Lithuania’s interests in international and European organizations such as ISO, IEC, CEN, CENELEC, and ETSI.
LST has been a full member of ISO since 2008, CEN since 2004, CENELEC since 2003, and ETSI since 1996, while it has been an associate member of IEC since 1996. Its representatives also sit on the governing and technical boards of European standardization bodies. Regionally, LST has worked with Latvia, Estonia, and Poland in the Baltic Standardization Forum since 1999.. For more details, visit the Lithuanian Standards Board website
